This cyclical approach is expected to persist, particularly with the newly established “In-Canada” category outlined in the 2025-2027 Immigration Levels Plan. This new category strategically targets candidates from the Canadian Experience Class and various regional programs, with the potential to incorporate individuals from the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP) and the Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP).
Notably, this focused category represents a significant portion of planned permanent resident admissions, with 82,980 spots allocated for 2025—accounting for over 40% of next year’s projected immigration intake.
