Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) have issued invitations to apply (ITAs) in the most recent Express Entry draw.

The department issued 3,000 ITAs in a healthcare category-based selection draw.

Candidates required a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 463 to be considered.

Today marks the third Express Entry draw this week, following a Canadian Experience Class (CEC) draw on November 19 and a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draw on November 18.

This represents the second consecutive week of Express Entry selections. The previous week’s draws issued 1,933 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) across CEC, PNP, and French-language proficient candidate streams.

Looking ahead, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) plans significant expansion of Express Entry immigration targets. The department aims to welcome 124,680 Express Entry candidates in the upcoming year, with a nuanced allocation strategy.

The new immigration plan introduces two distinct categories:

  1. In-Canada Focus category: Targeting over 82,000 admissions, primarily comprising CEC candidates, with potential inclusion of Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP), Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP), and PNP-aligned Express Entry candidates.
  2. Federal Economic Priorities category: Reserving 41,700 permanent residence spots for candidates with professional experience in high-demand occupations within the Canadian labor market.

This approach reflects IRCC’s strategic approach to meeting Canada’s evolving economic and labor market needs through targeted immigration selection.
